Birmingham Six - a couple of years ago I took this picture - just off the canal in Hackney near the Rosemary Branch Pub - couldn't believe that a free the Birmingham Six grafitto was still up. Well this summer it has been painted over, they also made a small park like walk way where the concrete blocks had been sitting for at least 5 years. I guess they were there to stop people parking on the waste ground in front of the flats and not as a reminder of the blockades around Northern Ireland through the latter quater of the twentieth centuary. |
