The vertical pole - a kind of extended weights bar - was MB's final climb in the Drawing Restraint performance for camera at the Serpentine Gallery in September. He has pgotographs taped to his feet with rubber frames so that his climb is not impeeded too badly. He did make it to the top but having just done the 4 other climbs at the gallery corners he was unable to complete a drawing.
